The Community Health Center (CHC) model is based on Community Ownership. This private/ public partnership provides accessible, quality healthcare to some of our most vulnerable populations.

Locations

New Mexico has over 100 Community Health Center Sites, located in 31 of the state’s 33 counties. Sites range in size from single provider to provider teams and are located in both urban centers as well as many rural locations. View our locations by region.

Financial Incentives

There are both National and State programs that provide funding to help with the financial burden of student loans. New Mexico also offers a personal income tax benefit

The New Mexico Primary Care Association (NMPCA) is a statewide, non-profit organization representing 20 primary health care member organizations.  The NMPCA's role is to:

 

  • Provide professional education and technical assistance
  • Advocate for membership at State and National level
  • Facilitate networking and information sharing between member organizations
  • Act as a liason between members and State and Federal agencies
  • Assist members in workforce issues including Recruitment and Retention of staff
